This page explains the cookies CTDC Academy uses, the services embedded in the site that set cookies of their own, and how to change your choice at any time. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

Essential only by default

Nothing optional loads until you choose.

No advertising cookies

No advertising or third-party analytics cookies at all.

Change it any time

Cookie settings is at the bottom of every page.

01. Cookies we always use

These are needed for the site to work, so they are set without asking. None of them tracks you across other sites, and none is shared with anyone.

CookieWhat it doesHow long it lasts
…-sessionKeeps you signed in and holds your basket while you browse.Until two hours after your last visit
XSRF-TOKENStops other websites submitting forms here in your name.Until two hours after your last visit
remember_web_…Keeps you signed in between visits, only if you tick “Remember me”.Until you sign out
ctdc_consentRemembers the choice you made about videos and maps.12 months

02. Videos and maps from other services

Course previews and lesson videos are played by YouTube or Vimeo, and maps are shown by Google Maps. These services set their own cookies and may record that you watched a video or looked at a map, so we load them only after you allow “Videos and maps”. Until then you see a placeholder with a button to load it.

  • YouTube (Google) — course previews and some event recordings.
  • Vimeo — lesson videos and some event recordings.
  • Google Maps — the map on the contact page and on in-person event pages.

Each service’s own cookie policy describes what it stores.

03. What we do not use

No advertising cookies and no third-party analytics. We count page visits on our own server, with no advertising or analytics cookie and no third party involved. A page view records the page, the time, the page you came from, your browser, the network part of your IP address — never the full address — and, so that the views in one visit can be counted as one, the id of the session cookie you already have. If you are signed in it also records which account. Page views are kept for 90 days and then deleted.

04. Changing your choice

Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page, or the form below. Refusing videos and maps does not stop you using the site: you can still load a single video or map when you want it. You can also delete cookies in your browser at any time.

05. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes in a way that affects your choice, we ask you again.
